Hold Officer Accountable for Killing Family Pet, Sylas

On March 7, 2015 police were looking for a suspect involved in an assault. They entered a gated yard after being asked not to because of the dogs and child, and shot at a family pet 3-5 times within feet of a child.
Sylas, a Dogo Argentino/pit mix, was well known and loved in the community. He often went to work with his owner, who is a vet tech. Sylas was a blood donor at the vet clinic & saved countless lives. Yet after he was shot, police denied him medical attention... they wouldn't let his family anywhere near him.
The family was denied the officers name and badge number; hindering their ability to formalize their own complaint and/or charges against the officer.
We the people demand that your office hold this officer accountable for the unnecessary murder of Sylas, and for putting this family, neighbors, and other officers in danger by firing his weapon in a small, enclosed area. We the people expect a thorough, impartial and independent investigation to be launched. We further expect that this officer will be disciplined and fired if he is found to be negligent.
