Weekly voluntary test of COVID-19 for all Frontline Prescribers and nurses in Ghana
Weekly voluntary test of COVID-19 for all Frontline Prescribers and nurses in Ghana
Following the worldwide outbreak of corona virus, Ghana, our beloved country, unfortunately has began having her share of this bitter cake. Most of which are imported cases. The Government of Ghana, led by the President, HE Nana Akufo Addo has directed the closure of many institutions, suspension of many activities, and movements restrictions nationwide all in an attempt to slow down spread. Hospitals and health institutions are still in operation nonetheless.
Ghanaian Health workers especially frontline Prescribers (Physician Assistants/Clinicians) and nurses find themselves in the front-line of care, assessing and providing care to all sorts of people. Majority of these Prescribers and nurses do not always have access to prescribed personal protective equipment at the point of call, predisposing them to possible infection from COVID-19.
Frontline health workers currently do not have any form of incentives, putting their lives at risk for the safety of citizens at this crucial time. ALL I AM SEEKING IS FOR THESE PRESCRIBERS AND NURSES TO BE OFFERED FREE AND VOLUNTARY TESTING FOR COVID-19 ONCE EVERY WEEK.
