Force Verizon to UPDATE trunk lines in fringe area
0 have signed. Let’s get to 100!
We live on the outskirts of Georgetown Texas. There are hundreds of homes out here. We are at the mercy of Frontier Internet. Many people probably work from home. I am one of those people.
The normal download speed from Frontier is 5mps and on a good day you can get 6mps. During the day except for Spring Break and Summer Break it is usually not too slow. But at night, weekends and during the day when the public schools and colleges are on holiday the speed is almost equivalent to Dial Up. Most companies are offering 50mps for the lowest packages. We have been told by reps of Verizon that their trunks are overloaded and they have no plans to do anything about it. We have also been told if you disconnect from Frontier and try a company that offers satellite internet, then try to come back to Frontier they will not reinstate your service. They have also said that they are not allowing anymore connects for people moving in to this area. We pay a good price for this terrible service. They should be made to install new equipment, lines etc if they plan on being the only provider in this area. This area is growing and we should not be punished because we choose to live in a peaceful quiet area on the fridge of a large town. Frontier should be forced to update the antiquated equipment that they bought from Verizon.
