Due to the fact that Fresno County Jail has been under quarantine over the last few years causing inmates to miss court dates. Inmates are also under quarantine without the proper protection no medical nor KN-95 mask have been issued to inmate while in custody. On the California Department of Correction and Rehabilitation website it states that all incarcerated individuals are to receive 2 medical mask and 1 KN -95 mask per week. The inmates who are under quarantine have NOT been issued any mask of any kind. Inmates are not able to get to court because of the quarantine each court date just continuously keeps getting pushed back further and further out as if there is no way out. This situation is affecting the inmate mental health as well as putting their health at a huge risk and all of this affects their families as well. Something needs to be done about the poor treatment of all inmates at the Fresno County Jail.
