Our power has been out from Monday 4 April to Wednesday 6 April 2022, again on the evening of 8 April and again 9 April. 

Some people are on oxygen. 

Some of us are unemployed and trying to work from home.  Its pointless even trying to work on sn inverter because internet doesn't run because the cellphone towers have got no backup batteries.  Inverters use deep cell batteries which are very expensive and run flat.  If they are flat they need to be charged they are extremely heavy to carry.  If the electricity eventually is restored there is no Telkom LTE signal.  

The water towers cannot pump water without electricity and we are frequently without water. This is a gross violation of our human rights.  Our groceries are perishing and food us expensive. This is a gross violation of Section 27 of our country's Constitution.

We demand urgent intervention.
