Change The Student Dresscode

Constitution of United States of America 1789 (rev. 1992)
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
“Tank-tops, off-the-shoulder shirts or blouses or those which show the midriff are not allowed. See-through tops, muscle tops, tube tops or spaghetti straps are not allowed. Shorts and skirts must be at least fingertip length when arms are held beside body. Undergarments should not be visible.”
To whom it may concern;
Since the very first second of kindergarten, we’ve been taught to preach and accept self love and self care. According to educators and a select few parents, the outfits young woman wear are too distracting for men to be able to view women with dignity and respect. The students, however, may disagree. Girls and women are not responsible, in any way, for the thoughts and behavior of boys and men.
The sight of shoulders and collarbones are ashamed of. “The dress code is decided on the level of distraction from anyone learning”. Just because our bare skin distracts the boys, females are being told to LEAVE CLASS to change, for the education of men. You’re simply teaching us to change in the presence of men. If a female is sitting at a desk, how is the length of her skirt or the bare skin of her shoulder going to affect any other student?
I’m proposing to have the student dress code amended, so it does not disproportionately punish girls for clothing choices that make them more comfortable in sweltering conditions. I’m proposing a change in which will satisfy the students and the district board.
The following is what I wish to have changed;
Shorts in different lengths should be allowed unless shown the behind.
Off the shoulder shirts or blouses should be allowed unless shown excessive midrift. Students should be allowed to wear open toed shoes as long as socks are worn underneath.
Spaghetti straps should be allowed regardless of how thin they are.
I hope you will consider these changes in the student dress code.
