Older people on state pensions and lower paid workers cannot cope with an obscene price rise for energy. This would lead to poverty and early death for some in the winter months  

Average families cannot cope with the intended price rises which amount to profiteering on the part of the energy companies who are now in a near monopoly situation  

Giving a handout to help with the payments doesn’t do any good. The prices need to be frozen NOW.
