Freehold Mall has been an iconic place to shop in Freehold, NJ for generations. It's one of the few places remaining outside the downtown that is a reminder of its past. I lived in Freehold during the 1970's, and if it wasn't for this Mall I wouldn't even recognize the place. Now I hear the Township proposes to take this land under eminent domain from Aspen RT9 LLC -- the landowners who wish to renovate it. The township intends to condemn the property and re-zone it to build there affordable housing, which will hold no distinction. Aspen, on the other hand, has big plans to revitalize the property as a retail success. Please sign this petition to inform the court that you support Aspen in their lawsuit against the township from seizing their newly acquired property. Thank you!
