The Savannah College of Art and Design has implemented a strict dress code throughout its fitness facilities. The dress code includes not being able to show any part of your stomach or shorts that are considered too low for gym staff. Considering how SCAD prides itself on creativity and self-expression, we students find it ironic how these attributes apply to every aspect of the university except the fitness department. Working out is about feeling good physically and mentally and we shouldn't be deprived of wearing clothes that make us feel confident while working on ourselves. We ask the SCAD fitness department to consider implementing more lenient rules that align with the university's values.
