Help for M. Ahman Ullah and Walaiha Irafat

In Pakistan, in March 2012, Walaiha Irafat was arrested for allegations of blasphemy. She was denied bail, and spent 43 months in prison, inlcuding solitary confinement. She attempted suicide in her prison cell in October 2013.
Walaiha was released on bail in 2015, thank partially to the work of M. Aman Ullah, whom she afterwards married. But her sufferings were not over. Shortly after their marriage, she was gang raped as punishment for her supposed crimes.
In 2016, Walaiha finally managed to escape Pakistan, and is currently in hiding in an unnamed Islamic country. M Aman Ullah remains in Pakistan, helping others seek legal aid, but the local Mullahs have declared that he should be killed for marrying and helping a blasphemer. He lives in danger, separated from his wife.
The international community needs to rally to help Walaiha Irafat and M. Aman Ullah, as well as others in Pakistan suffering due to these cruel laws. We hope that by bringing them to the attention of Freedom House, something can be done to help these victims of injustice escape to where they can be safe and together.
