In recent years, Australian free-to-air commercial television have a lack of local content and making Australian drama and comedy shows due to three Australian commercial television networks, Seven, Nine and Ten screening of reality shows and cheap imported television shows from America and Britain, they didn't support Australian drama and comedy when each Australian drama series got axed and being expired after 65 episodes because of the government funding with its tax due to the phenomenon of reality television.
We're in a cultural cringe and we're been struggling with the local popular culture and identity for a long time since television started in Australia nearly sixty years ago but we're suffering from the lack of local content and local television drama and comedy.
My plan for FTA, Seven, Nine and Ten is to support Australian drama and comedy, put more local content [drama, comedy and variety] by making, producing and screening more Australian drama, comedy, variety, quiz/game and other format shows and stop making, producing and screening reality shows and stop buying cheap imported shows from America and Britain and a message to all of them, please don't get rid of all the good Australian shows and also, please stop axing the same shows which it is one hundred per cent Australian made.
