My son was born with craniosynostosis which meant he was referred to great ormand street for surgery. He will be under that hopsital until he is 12 years of age. He has 6 monthly eye tests as well as other appointments in between. People can only claim back travel expenses if they are on benefits such as universal credit. Being on universal credit you have to earn below a certain amount to claim expenses back. This I feel is totally unfair. My son didn't choose to be born this way. Having a child under hospital care is hard enough let alone the travel expenses that come with it. Especially the cost of the train which we often have to use to travel. 

So I'm setting up a petition to make travel expenses free to all who hare under hopsital care for a very long time.
