I'm pleading with the government to make sanitary towels be free everywhere on the country not only in girls schools and fund drives that are hardly conducted in all regions. I still wonder why condoms are free in almost all areas, pubs, colleges, hospitals... They are at our disposal but for sanitary towels it's ain't the same. As per our economy now the cheapest ones go for 90ksh and I ask myself what of those girls who can't afford fees to be in school? They don't get them in school once the government distributes them. Periods must occur to all girls and your health matters at this point. Some can't afford two packets at a go and since they have to undergo it they look for alternative options such as sharing of some cut out thick clothes which can cause infections. Why can't they put sanitary towels at put disposal? I'm hospitals, schools, streets? Sex is not compulsory and it is regarded as a sin before marriage what of periods? You can't avoid it..  Women reps can bring this motion to a reality. Our overall leaders at large can look into the matter.
