I met Roy Smith Jr when I was 10. We have been friends ever since. At 19, he had an unfortunate situation happen that has caused him to be incarcerated for the past 27 years. During these 27 years he has endured all kinds of pain: from being tortured by guards to losing his mother, brother and grandparents. He has even contemplated suicide. Through it all,  He has  evolved into a man that has learned to accept accountability and become a responsible member of his current situation. Roy has changed his name to Nadir Abdullah Salaam $1121657. He has completed over 27 skill- building certifications and ,has started a  Non Profit Organization Freedom Over Everything with cofounders Kevin Dickerson #1154870 and Oliver S. Adams, Jr #1054870 

The roommates started the organization in Buckingham Correctional Facility in Dillwyn County VA.  The focus is prison reform, gang prevention and community awareness. He and the two co-founders have also developed a character building workshop to assist men transition from prison to becoming a productive member of society.

His father Roy Sr, is 81 and he could benefit the most of him coming home. To spend his last days with his only son that has been away in a different state six hours away for 27 years. 
I need your help in getting him home. The wisdom that he has gained over the past 27 years is more resourceful here than there.
