Little Hearts is a Preschool Center located at 400 Cleveland Avenue in Plainfield, NJ. We have been providing high-quality educational and child care services to the families of Plainfield for more than ten years.  Little Hearts staff should not have to pay to park on the street they work in, nor should we be asked to pay upwards of $90 a month for parking.  
Sadly, we are being asked by the parking authority to ‘move our vehicles every 2 hours or get ticketed.” If this happens, staff members will be parking off property or on far-off streets to save money (No, we cannot afford to pay $90 a month for parking).  This poses a risk with our safety and security. We have had personal experiences of being accosted and harassed out in the street if we have to park far from the center and/or to find our cars vandalized and ticketed due to parking in unsafe areas or being parked too long.  
Teachers and child care staff should not have to go through these conditions everyday just to go to work. We would love to have the street on Cleveland Avenue provided as free parking for staff during center hours so that we can focus on providing quality educational services and child care to the students and families of Plainfield.
