A year of captivity, the European Union is mobilizing !
Jun 17, 2015 — Today is exactly one year from the moment of Nadia Savchenko’s capture and imprisonment, exactly one year of Savchenko being a hostage of Russian Federation.
Following the submission of a petition, in the presence of Ms. Vira Savchenko, to the cabinet of Ms. Mogherini, High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Vice President of the European Commission, to Mr Martin Schulz, President of the European Parliament, as well as to MEPs, we obtained a resolution of the European Parliament, voted on Thursday, April 30, urging Russia to immediately release Nadia Savchenko and taking a strong position on this issue at the Ukraine-EU summit held April 27 in Kiev. This uncompromising position adopted by the European Union is a big step. We have advanced, but we have not yet won. Nadia is still imprisoned and her detention was prolonged until November 13, without reason. We will not abandon her. Continue to fight. Share and sign the petition change.org/freesavchenko
