Dear Parliamentarians

This global Free Julian Assange, before it’s too late Petition has over 394,000 Signatories and is the 5th largest successfully tabled petition in the history of the Australian Parliament (since 1901). This petition has been tabled in both houses of the Parliament of Australia Ref. Click here to share the petition

“The right to petition Federal Parliament has been one of the rights of citizens since federation, and it is the only way an individual can directly place grievances before the Parliament”. Ref. headline from the Parliament of Australia portal.  https://www.aph.gov.au/Parliamentary_Business/Petitions

Petition delegated grievances that are now before the Parliament of Australia include:

1)    Free Julian Assange who has been framed for assassination or permanent silencing in torture.

2)    Australian national sovereignty will be subjugated to USA extraterritorial authority by stealth if the precedent of the extradition of Julian Assange occurs.  Ref. https://youtu.be/ErW1taJEPrs

3)    The Australian Government must formally and immediately intervene and demand bail or to move Julian Assange into a community safe house to be safe from imminent Covid19 infection. https://twitter.com/jaraparilla/status/1248449624681017345/photo/1. March 28, 2020 Prison Governors in Britain recommend release due to CoVid19 risk. Ref. https://prison-governors-association.org.uk/prison-governors-association-covid-19/

Julian Assange has underlying health vulnerability to a CoVid19 infection; this has been clearly determined by medical practitioners. This vulnerability has been exacerbated via the relentless psychological torture that he has been subjected to in this politically motivated show trial. If Julian Assange was to be killed by CoVid19 in Belmarsh HMP signatories would consider this an assassination by deliberate positioning him for biological CoVid19 infection.

March 7, 2020 Julian Hill MP ALP: Speaks out to free Julian Assange https://youtu.be/7cXOLAS-dx0

“Julian Assange has suffered enough. It's time to end this geopolitical madness. The man's an Australian. He's not an American. He wasn't in the US when he spoke out about war crimes. Put simply, he must be allowed to return to Australia.” Andrew Wilkie MP & Co Chair of the “Bring Assange Home” Australian parliamentary group. https://twitter.com/WilkieMP/status/1184253581660016640?s=20

28 January 2020: “Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe–Comprising 324 parliamentarians from the 47 countries of the Council of Europe, speaking for 830 million Europeans The @CoE Assembly, in a resolution on media freedom, declares that the detention and prosecution of @wikileaks founder Julian #Assange "sets a dangerous precedent for journalists" and calls for his prompt release”. http://assembly.coe.int/nw/xml/XRef/Xref-XML2HTML-en.asp?fileid=28508&lang=en

According to the Secretary General of NATO, Mr Jens Stoltenberg on April 14, 2020 GMT 10+ NATO in regard to the importance of countering disinformation. “An open and transparent press is the best bulwark against disinformation and propaganda.” ”As I said the best response to disinformation is the free and independent press.” https://youtu.be/A1hfZUS5EGc

Further in the release of Chelsea Manning (March 2020) Federal Judge Anthony Trenga ruled that Manning’s appearance (as the key witness against Assange) before the Grand Jury “is no longer needed, in light of which her detention no longer serves any coercive purpose”. So why is Julian Assange an Australian still on remand and now in the pathway for a CoVid19 infection? This extradition is for a conviction of a journalist of the type that has never happened before. This USA Espionage Act has been dug up from 1917 and unlike a USA Citizen, Julian Assange will not be afforded First Amendment protection and the key witness is not required? This extradition will endanger all journalists and publishers globally that dare exposed USA / or foreign government war crimes and governmental systemic criminality. This case sets a precedent for a totalitarian governmental system and is akin to a Coupe that will destroy the free press and our democracy.

We agree nobody is above the law and that includes complicity and responsible parliamentarians. As Jeremy Hunt MP wished we will “stand together to make it an international taboo, of the highest order to murder, arrest or detain journalists just for doing their job”.

Ref. https://www.straitstimes.com/world/europe/britain-names-amal-clooney-as-media-freedom-envoy  To this end, if this politically motivated show trial designed to execute and or permanently silence in torture the journalist Julian Assange is prosecuted, then this petition’s solid grass roots signatory base of 394,000+ will be the basis of a test case as Jeremy Hunt MP wished. We are “still” a Democracy.

Yours Faithfully,

Phillip Adams
