Unjust Conviction by an Unjust System.

Unjust Conviction by an Unjust System.
Why this petition matters
My name is Charles Grant, and I have been convicted of very serious crimes that I have not committed and refused to accept a plea deal. My case was initially tried, and I was found guilty. I was sentenced to serve 75 years. Knowing I was unjustly found guilty, I appealed the conviction and won due to prosecutorial misconduct. With my second trial pending, I was offered a plea deal, but I refused to take a plea for a crime I did not commit. I could have been out in a few years if I had accepted the plea and admitted guilt. Now I face the rest of my life in prison for a crime that I did not commit, a crime with no eyewitnesses, a crime with no DNA evidence, a crime where no weapon was found, a crime where there was another suspect, and a crime where I did not have a jury of my peers. This is wrong, and if this system is not fixed, there will be more innocent people convicted of crimes they did not commit. Therefore, I ask you to please sign this petition and have my voice heard to help overturn this wrongful conviction.
