Nassau County DA & Police Department arrest innocent men everyday. Nassau County is known for lies tricks and deceit. My son Grady was accused of murder on 07/23/2008. Grady has been in NY STATE PRISON SYSTEM 13 years. Nassau County, NY should be ashamed of their legal system. Grady can not be placed at the crime scene there is no DNA from Grady to link him to the crime scene. There is not one eye witness to place him at the crime scene. Grady also has written proof where he was at the time and cell phone records that he was on the phone with me his mother at the time of the incident. Nassau County District Attorney’s office allowed Nassau County Detectives to threaten a young lady with the process of taking her new born baby and placing the baby in foster care if she did not testify on their behalf. Three years later this young lady came to me and stated “she could not live her life like this anymore and needed to tell me the truth”She then met with a private detective and gave a recorded 27 page recantation and stated NASSAU COUNTY THREATENED HER TO LIE FOR THE PROSECUTION. The judge who heard this new evidence was afraid to overturn Grady’s conviction she agreed with all the evidence and even stated she believes Grady is innocent!!!!! Due to the fact it was an election year and Nassau County, NY vote their judges in to office…She didn’t want to lose her seat. She let the vote run her decision instead of why she became a judge. She is leaving to suffer in Prison a VIBRANT STRONG EDUCATED MAN who can become a GREAT ASSET TO HIS COMMUNITY!!!! Grady has served 13 years for A CRIME GRADY DID NOT COMMIT. Grady has missed his little brother grow up and all of his amazing accolades. Grady has not seen his grandma in 13 years Grady’s education was halted.  Grady was in college at the time. Grady has a cousin which they are more brothers than anything he has missed all his accolades. His Uncle’s relationship with me has been strained because Grady is the oldest Grandson and Nephew and none of us know how to right this wrong. Grady’s grandpa who is now 85 goes every week no matter where Grady is tormented he will not live to see GRADY SET FREE!!!! So I ask you his mother PLEASE SIGN THIS PETITION TO SET GRADY H HAMPTON 3rd FREE!!!!!! Let this Petition make it to the right desk in ALBANY, NY. So much can happen with this win to set Grady Free!!!!!!! Changes in our justice system need to be made immediately!!!! We cannot let innocent human beings be locked away.   So many changes need to be made these men and women are humans with families who love them please help by signing this petition.
