July 4th is the celebration of our nation’s independence. It has come to my attention that the Executive Director of the Cambria County Drug Coalition and members of our City Council plan on banning fireworks on the 4th of July. Typically there is a local fireworks show, but not this year. Our area did not provide a 4th of July celebration for our community. So the patriotic members of our community took it upon themselves to celebrate the 4th as it was intended. Our city leaders were bothered by us celebrating, so they intend to make celebrating the 4th illegal and started a petition. To teach our leaders and the other anti Americans a lesson, we are starting a counter petition. Being our City is the poorest, fastest shrinking city, it seems only fitting that they provide fireworks for the residents and be publicly shamed for trying to ban fireworks on the 4th of July.
