Franklin (WI) Public School District follow current masking guideline & reduce quarantine
We the Parents of Franklin urge the Franklin School District to follow the current COVID-19 school safety guidelines that are supported by the medical community as outlined by the American Academy of Pediatrics, Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, Wisconsin Department of Health Services, and the CDC. These plans are to keep students safe and in school with minimal disruptions. They recommend universal masking at this time for K-12 grades. So many of our students are not able to be vaccinated at this time and masking is one of the tools to help keep them safe. Additionally, guidelines state that if BOTH the infected student and exposed student(s) in close proximity are WEARING a well filling MASK at all times, then there is NO NEED TO QUARANTINE for exposed students. Please follow the recommendations of these agencies as they have the knowledge and information to know what is best. Let’s keep these kids in school this year!
