Allow Nyna to change her 6th period

Allow Nyna to change her 6th period
Why this petition matters
Nyna has been trying to switch out her sixth period, Business Management class and into a Teacher Assistant period with her AP Chemistry teacher. After high school, she plans on majoring in Chemistry, and using her bachelors degree to get into Med School. She has tremendous potential and drive as a student to succeed in this, and being a TA will provide greater knowledge and aid in her Chemistry class.
However, her counselor has repeatedly refused to allow her to change classes under the conditions that each teacher is given one TA per semester. To contradict this though, there have been accounts of teachers having more than one TA and having the same TA for two semesters in a row. Her counselor believes that being a TA would damage the chances of Nyna getting accepted into a university. Her counselor fails to understand that she is currently taking two other AP classes (AP Calculus and AP U.S. Government) on top of her AP Chem class, and that most colleges will be willing to overlook her TA period due to this.
Nyna has tried talking to several teachers, even going as far as talking to the Dean of Students, to get them to see her eye-to-eye and allow her a chance to prove herself not just as a student, but as a responsible young adult. They all have heard her story, and agree that it is something to fight for. At this point it is not just simply about trying to get a "free period" or an "easy class" its about young adults, about to graduate and step into the world, making decisions for their own future that they know will only help them succeed.
