With COVID-19 cases rising rapidly FMU students should be given a virtual option.
The Delta variant is a serious issue that should be handled accordingly. Many students commute back and fourth to campus risking their health and their families health for a better education. Many students are also nervous about the rise of COVID cases. Students should at least be given the option to attend classes virtually due to the rapid rise of cases. Other schools have implemented virtual options for students. However, Francis Marion University have not given their students the same luxury. Many students are susceptive to the virus due to preexisting health conditions. Therefore, students should have the option to decide whether they want to attend in person. We all want to live safe and happy lives while also enhancing our education. Please give students the option of attending classes virtually.
