I am reaching out on behalf of all students in my anatomy ( Bio 205) class. My professor ( Dr.V) announced that she is no longer allowed to post the lecture powerpoints on blackboard but she is allowed to go over the powerpoint. 

We as a whole are challenging this decision because it serves almost no purpose. Most of the class seems to already be struggling / failing. It seems as if Dr.Stokeman is producing an environment for students to continue to fail instead of actually helping students comprehend. Having a powerpoint posted is a great help because of organization and the structure of how we learn the muscles, nerves etc. I understand that this may have been a long lasting policy but it needs to change immediately. 

Also, I find it very interesting that during open lab hours , none of the models are labeled. While this moderately affects my learning, it has been very hard for everyone to study with very little help. It would be great to have models previously labeled so we are able to fully utilize the lab hours. 

Dr.V has been nothing but helpful to the entire class and I realize that this is beyond her control. 

Again, I and the rest of the anatomy class, truly do not comprehend why it is logical to restrict the knowledge that may potentially help the entire class to do better?  What benefit is it to continue to " help fail" college students who are trying to succeed. 

Old policies are changed all of the time. We ( Bio 205) are hopeful that all proper authorities will change/ challenge the decision that revokes the use of powerpoints at home, as well as labeling the anatomy of the models.
