Dear Minister Francois-Phillippe Champagne,
Canada may have good laws that prevent child labour in Canada but Canadiens are still buying products that may have been produced with child labour, often without knowing they are doing so. We're asking that you the international trade Minister of Canada lobby on our behalf and the behalf of children around the world to make the sell of products produced with child labour illegal in Canada. By production of child labour, we mean child labour in all stages of production such as the farming of cotton or food, spinning of yarn and fabrication of products in factories. Canada is known as as a leader in the world for human rights. Children should the right to not to do hazardous work that will harm their development. We believe that it is not enough for our country not to have child labour, we also need to not fund child labour. We'd like stop the buying and selling of products produced with child labour in Canada and we'd like your help in the House Of Commons to do so. Thank you.
