Due to the global pandemic many lives have been directly and indirectly affected. It's not only "people who have never died before [that] are dying", regular people who have been dying of unrelated illness as well. Necessary social distancing is preventing communities and families from unifying in each others', when it could matter the most. Acknowledgment of life lost can be source of strength, hope, unity for families and communities of those affected. Faces attached to names will also emphasize the value of the lives lost, personifying each of those numbers can potentially help people see the value in social distancing.

A safe and easy way to solve this can be to show names and faces on tv or perhaps read eulogies over the radio. I saw a tweet calling us into action to not blame those in power, rather take power into our own hands. During this pandemic my Grandma has passed away from cancer. Her mother lived with the same type of cancer for 20 years, so my family really expected her to make it. Not only was visitation during her final days stressful and limited to her, it is unethical to celebrate her life with a proper funeral and burial the way we had planned. There are many more stories like my Grandma's. Alone I may not be able to change things  but I know there are others who feel the same, and if we come together maybe our effort won't go in vain, but we must take some initiative to show people that there is a need for this. I'm calling out major television networks to make this happen. Even if it can happen at a local level, so much good can come from this.
