I’m starting this petition because I’ve held my mouth shut for to long maybe thinking since we have a nation wide pandemic things would get better I am here to say that these inmates in Clayton county jail are not treated right nor respected of their rights refusing to feed these people is a violation of their eighth amendment once it hits the 2 day mark as well as never cleaning their jumpsuits there is no way they should even be in the same jump suits or not cleaned considering we are in a nation wide pandemic they should be cleaned or changed out from the jump or every 2 weeks   And mask as well as the cleanliness of the building they shouldn’t have broken toilets unsanitary cells or tables nor should they not be cleaning the phones that everyone uses and puts to there face and mouth lastly they have a “ Covid dorm “ which is a open dorm meaning no cells just beds with people who have Covid just walking around coughing and spreading it even more and more sick mixed with sick doesn’t make the process better it spreads the virus and makes it worst then they tend to just throw them back in population the day they are not sick no quarantine no nothing people will complain and not get helped until days later because why the officers say they don’t care they are already locking these women and men down for 23 hours they come out 1 hour and still are getting refused visits refused phone calls because some officers are prejudice or just want to see these people suffer and rot there for why would they pick this job to torture peoples loved ones I understand that yes people make mistakes or bad decisions but they still are human they still have rights .
