Reversing Fox C-6 School District Mask Mandate Back To Mask By Choice

Reversing Fox C-6 School District Mask Mandate Back To Mask By Choice
We thank the school board and superintendent of the Fox C-6 School District for making the right decision in maintaining the mask-optional policy for the 2021-2022 school year.
We believe that every student, in conjunction with his or her family should absolutely be able to wear a mask if they so choose. Likewise, any student and their family who determines that masks are not appropriate or not in their best interests have the fundamental right to choose not to wear one.
Masks are essentially being used as a form of medical intervention by schools and other entities. Like any other medical intervention that would be deployed on children, it is absolutely up to each parent to make the decision as to whether or not said intervention can be administered to their child. Regardless of edicts or recommendations by a county health department, the CDC, the WHO or any other organization, the authority to make the decision on whether or not any student should be masked during the school day belongs solely to each individual family. We believe the authority to make decisions on whether staff members should be masked during the school day belongs solely to each individual staff member. This preserves the rights of students, parents, and staff members to make healthcare-related decisions that are best suited to their needs.
We continue to support the Fox C-6 School Board and superintendent in upholding families’ rights to mask choice.
Dr. Fregeau and the Fox C-6 Board of Education should remain firmly committed to their decision for each family and staff member to choose to wear a mask or not based on their personal preference.
Parents have a choice to utilize the approved new virtual online services provided by FOX C-6. Virtual online services were successful last year in maintaining social distance as parents chose to utilize this service when the Fox district re-opened in January 2021.
The below source links are reasons why some parents and staff members may choose not to wear a mask throughout the school day.
“In addition to hypoxia and hypercapnia, breathing through face mask residues bacterial and germs components on the inner and outside layer of the facemask. These toxic components are repeatedly rebreathed back. Breathing through facemasks also increases temperature and humidity in the space between the mouth and the mask, resulting a release of toxic particles from the mask’s materials”
