For too long Newberry, SC has gone with out an outlet for skateboarders. Our only choice is the street, parking lots, and sidewalks. Then the local authority shows up and chases us off, leaving no place to practice our hobby. There are many skaters in Newberry and the surrounding areas. Newberry county caters to Football, Basketball, Tennis, and other traditional sports, but wheres our love at. Maybe we dont want to join the norm. We are frowned upon and feel like its a crime to practice our art. If we had somewhere to go it would benefit the youth in the county of Newberry and surrounding areas.
