The Fort Lee Board of Education has put in place a policy that requires students to quarantine for up to 10 days.

With the upcoming holiday season nearing it is imperative that a change is made.

Over the past 18 months Covid has already isolated all of us from our family and loved ones.  This quarantine policy does nothing more than further isolate us at a time when we should be spending more time together to make up for what we have already lost.  Some of us aren't fortunate enough to have family living within the state of NJ.

Traveling is no different than attending a Giants game at a full capacity Met Life stadium with no mask or vaccine requirements.  It is also no different than having family from domestic or international locations visit and stay with you.  The travel quarantine makes no sense and needs to be lifted.  Most, if not almost all, districts in our area do not have such a policy in place.

No-one suffers more due to this policy than our students, our children.  They will be forced to miss school with NO REMOTE INSTRUCTION for up to 10 days.  They have already missed enough school due to Covid, lets not make them miss any more.

SIGN THIS PETITION TO HAVE THE TRAVEL QUARANTINE LIFTED.
