The students of Kempner High School and FBISD are proposing that all students who are taking the AP exam for a class while maintaining an 85+ average all year in it, should be able to exempt from the class's spring semester final. This action will reduce the stress on students who are taking multiple exams week after week, while promoting more students to challenge themselves with AP exams and gain college credit.

Overall, it is more beneficial for students to take the AP exams for their classes' than the spring final, especially students with an 85+ average in the class. AP exams can significantly reduce college costs because they offer credits for college classes, but students are drawn away from this opportunity, since they would have to take the class's final just 2-3 weeks later. This drastically reduces which AP exams students choose to take because they believe they can not handle more. Therefore this exemption ability should be standard in FBISD, allowing students to make better choices for their future without sacrificing their mental health.
