The Reynolda Manor Library is an integral part of the Winston-Salem community. This library branch services 10-15,000 patrons per month, and has the second highest circulation numbers of all the branches. It hosts 2 adult book clubs and 3 weekly children's story times. The library branch is always full, the library computers are used by 3,000+ patrons each month. This branch also hosts a number of public meetings, where people are able to learn new languages, network within the community, and learn new skills. In the computer age, this library is one of the few places where the public has free access to computer and internet resources.

This is a request to renew the lease for the Reynolda Manor Library. The Reynolda Manor Library is an integral part of the Winston-Salem community that should be preserved for our future. The library branch is always full, the library computers are used by 3,000+ patrons each month. In the computer age, this library is one of the few places where the public has free access to computer and internet resources.
I believe that closing this library would be shortsighted, and would do great harm to our community. I am following this decision closely, and it will affect how I vote in the 2014 and 2016 elections.
