YOUTUBE- FERN SPRINGS NATIONAL FOREST

When I found it, It was only forest. So it was strange to me when, walking an unknown field, I came about large stones that were obviously built by human hands. I began digging through the brush and found an entire forgotten history. Stoneworked paths and enormous lean-to's with .long friendly tables like they built before COVID 19, completely hand crafted stone by stone and with inviting Hearths in the center....but how could this be under all this? Where was I? I discovered Fern Springs by accident. There was no google or reason for me to be there other than I had gotten really lost. I have been waiting for ten years to see if anyone would care about this forgotten treasure, but time went by fruitlessly, and nature worked and worked. I have been digging for a while now and have uncovered a lot and learned just as much. Park indeed was hand built....in 1933!
