This beach is iconic worldwide. It's one of the faces of Australia along with Uluru, Fraser Island, the Kimberleys and the great barrier reef!

The proposed development is totally inappropriate and out of charater with the area.

The cultural values of the heritage beach elements should not be overwhelmed by commercial development

I believe the authenticity of the area will be ruined with such a huge development on the beach

I'm signing because the overdevelopment of our suburbs is eroding the integrity of our city & our ability to enjoy all the elements that combine to make Melbourne the 'most liveable city'

A big win. Great to hear that VCAT has instructed Bayside Council to get permits for aspects of the building and wants to know what the community thinks about it, even reconsider the current form of the proposal. Save Dendy Street Beach Facebook page has further information/explanation about how to put in grounds of objections. No payment required to put in objections. Must be received by VCAT however by Monday 4th September. Reference no P89/2017 permit application 5/2016/266/1

There is Somethingnspecial about how the buildings and there current modest arrangement charms and delights those on their beach visiting. The balance is right. Encroaching on the foreshore with higher, denser or bulkier buildings, would fail the current beaches charms and character.
