The new Brexit rule of allowing access to the Schengen area for 90 days in 180 days means that holiday home owners, motorhomers and pensioners etc., are prevented from spending their winters in sunnier climes. Reverting to the old rule of up to 180 days in a year would greatly improve many people's lives without prejudicing tax laws in any country.  The change will have to be reciprocated between UK and each country but this should not be a problem. Spain and Portugal are keen to change this rule so pressure needs to be put on the UK government to hasten the process. It would improve the retirement of hundreds of thousands of Brits.
