The Chevening scholarship has helped forge future leaders from all around the world and we are more than grateful. It offers us the chance to access a high quality education and become future leaders.

A lot of applicants from all around the world were affected by a system lag hours before the deadline.  This has made months and years of work go in vain. We would like for the Chevening office to take a stance and extend the deadline, taking into consideration the applicants affected by the technical problem on the Chevening server on the 2nd of November 2021.

For everyone that has been affected and needs their plea for support to be heard, we organized this petition to bring to your attention the system lag of the Chevening application portal. We want to give all affected applicants the chance to be heard. We request that the Chevening office provides an extension equivalent to the number of hours that the server was down.

We are hopeful that the Chevening office will hear our plea for they acknowledged the problem soon after it happened. We have faith in the fairness of the Chevening application process and that is why we are starting this petition to showcase that the number of people affected was not small. We humbly request that the Chevening Secretariat takes this into consideration.
