In light of the murder of George Floyd, Fordham University's President McShane, offered a statement of condolences (5/30/20).
The student body shares Fr. McShane’s that Fordham University has the moral responsibility to use our institutional power to make change.
This institution has the resources to stand in solidarity with the people who are being murdered in the fight for social justice.  
This is a call for Fordham University to publicly stand behind those who need it the most.

For example: 

- Donate to the Brooklyn Bail Fund :  https://brooklynbailfund.org/

- Encourage Fordham Law School graduates and professors to represent pro bono those who have been arrested during these protests 

-Consistent with the social justice mission of our institution, it is especially imperative that leaders and members of the Fordham University community speak out, publicly, about the injustices and promote multiple and substantive ways to enact systematic change.
