The rental crisis in ontario right now is crazy. Houses and small apartments are way overpriced by the greed of the landlords and lack of oversight of the goverment.

A house in hamilton ontario from 2018-2022 has went from $1500 a month to $4,500 a month, $3000 increase is rediculouse! For a 1 bedroom basement apartment has went from $700 a month to $2000 a month!

There needs to be a rental cap, to the amount a landlord can charge for rent.

A steady limit based on the value in witch the actual condition and renovations done to the rental property justifies the value or money for rent you can produce from that rental property per month.

Make it so there is a cap, where you are not allowed to charge more then a certain amount of rent!

If we keep going down the path we are, generation now and to come will never afford to move out on there own let alone ever buy a house. The increase in homlessness has raised drastically and people can’t understand why…? If this keeps up the way it is homlessness will explode the amount it is at right now all over ontario.

How could anyone making minimum wage afford anything. Someone with a Union job can barely afford it.

Thinfs need to change and us working class canadians need to stand together to fight these costs and fight against the greed of the landlords and goverment!
