Force Mt Bachelor and PWDR Corp to cease and Desist Fast Passes
Why this petition matters

I am an Oregon native, avid snowboarder since 1983, and Bend local since 1993. Historically Mt B has been a locals only, and a community mountain providing so much for the love of the sport, and access for those who could not afford it via children's programs, adaptive sports program, and fundraisers for schools by way of affordable tickets to locals. Recent changes to our once little mountain town have been challenging for many, but the affordability, crowds, COVID, and access to the mountain have become unbearable for many. Since POWDR Corp has taken over, it has become clear that profit over people is the new motto. It could not be more ironic and tone deaf that during a time of social and equitable justice awakening that this Corporation has decided to double down on this new motto and bring forth an elite system where individuals can pay an additional fee to effectively "cut in line" by way of a fast pass. This is an utter sociopathic move that goes against not only the mountain code of respect, but is a slap in the face to all locals, many of which can barely afford to live here anymore. This could not be more insulting and hurtful to the epic and legendary vision of the late, great Bill Healy who created this dream of a local mountain resort for the people. This is not the vision. This is not the way. This IS OUR Mountain. I ask that you please consider joining me in letting PWDR Corp and Mt Bachelor Inc know we demand an immediate cease and desist of this new fast pass plan. Respect the legend. Keep the dream alive. Thank you Bill.
