Dom Tompkins started this petition to Cleveland.c Editor of Cleveland.c

On Oct 1 a vape rally was held at the Ohio State House. Many who were there know for a fact there were several very important talking points in regards to the "epidemic" and the harm reduction of ecigarettes. Cleveland.com has reported none of that, instead opting to only include small quotes from the MC and DeWine's quote about the e-cigarette industry.

Cleveland.com has reported this event, and its major message, in a way that completely ignored the reasons we were there, and the statistics we heard.

Most, if not all, vapers know that this industry is not driving children toward it. In fact one of the statistics given was how low the number of FDA fines on Vape Shops was in Ohio. This however, is another statistic that was COMPLETELY LEFT OUT of Cleveland.com's article, and instead they opted to let DeWine's quote about "flavors being made to attract children" in the article.

There are MULTIPLE occurrences of missing information and deflection away from major talking points, even though several opportunities to discuss what was said were presented in the writing.

So this petition is to hold Cleveland.com and it's reporter (who will go unnamed here) accountable for their ethical lapse, and for breaking the SPJ Code of Journalism Ethics.
