Following the failure by Police Scotland to respond to emergency calls from the public about a car that had veered of the M9 in early July. Sir Stephen House should take responsibility for the failings in his force. It took three days for the police to respond to the incident but only responded after another member of the public reported the incident. Recent reports show that 10,000 absence days where recorded between January and March this year due to conditions such as stress, anxiety and depression.

Unfortunately both occupants of the car have passed away but that may have been prevented if Police Scotland logged the first emergency call about the incident and responded promptly. Reports have also revealed that Police Scotland sent a voice message to one of the victims ten days after they sadly passed away forcing another apology from Police Scotland to the family of the victim. Sir Stephen House must now resign so new leadership can reform Police Scotland and to stop anything like this happening again.
