Seam Social Labs started this petition to For-profit Real Estate Development Sector

WE WILL NOT BE SILENCED.

We are not naïve when it comes to understanding generations of racism and classism that has plagued New York City. Whether it’s presented as urban renewal, rezoning, or opportunity zones, we understand the hidden messaging of these oppressive systems that profit a few and displace a majority. Our communities, especially our low-income and communities of color have been overlooked due to antiquated and racist housing policies. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

Seam Social Labs is launching a radical solution to combating this injustice through Synergize Insights. Synergize Insights is a dual-missioned platform that will harness the power of community voices to:

  • Ensure community needs shape and guide the pre-development process
  • Promotes workforce and affordable housing development
  • Encourage communication and collaboration between developers and community stakeholders

We plan to disrupt the status quo of gentrification and displacement through the power of technology- and put the decision making power back in the hands of the people. It’s time to take our city back.

We are launching this pledge as a Call to Action for community-based groups and neighborhood initiatives across NYC to sign on and commit to a new solution for equitable development. We need to invest in and preserve our schools, libraries, parks, mom n’ pop shops, and community centers. Most pressing, we need truly affordable and adequate housing access FOR ALL.

Synergize Insights will work to make your voice heard, and be the tool to lead equitable development. If you share the same urgency and charge to make a better future for our city, sign onto our pledge.

BECAUSE, WE ARE STRONGER TOGETHER.
