The Australian government should put a policy in place to reduce food waste in the country

In Australia we produce enough food for 61,536,975 people, but we throw away one third of that. We have that much food and yet we have hungry people in our country so we need to change. We would like to put a policy into place to use that food to feed those hungry people. This would reduce the amount of food we waste in this country. To fix this problem we need to create a tax incentive that will encourage businesses to donate food to charities or food banks without losing money. This tax incentive would allow businesses to help reduce food waste and reduce hunger in our country. Please support this.
(note: we are 3 high school students trying to make a change)
