As my young daughter and I are both celiac sufferers, it is inportant that gluten free is gluten free. If they want to change the labelling and detectable gluten < 20ppm should be labelled Low in gluten not gluten free.

This is important to me because I have been diagnosed with Coeliacs Disease. Ingesting any quantity of gluten makes me sick.

As a Coeliac I think this is crazy. For people who simply choose to eaten gluten free foods, it would be fine, but there are many people such as myself who are Coeliac and can not eaten gluten without damage being done to their intestine. Eating gluten free without contamination is difficult enough. Why make it even more difficult for us?

I have a friend at work who needs to eat "gluten-free". Changing the food labelling laws is somewhat akin to leaving a revolver loaded with more than one bullet for a 7 year old child to play russian roulette in a room full of other 7 year olds ! This might be described as a little dangerous.

Coeliacs react severely to gluten - for them it is POISON. Labelling must be accurate for health. I eat gluten free products and feel healthier even though I am not coeliac.
