Each person in the communities that work and pay taxes should be able to apply and receive food assistance if they apply.  Each year we have kids and adults that are starving because of the soaring food prices and everyday essentials.  Most children only eat at school because families can't afford food.

The government requires that in order to be approved for such benefit you have to make a certain amount of money.  The amount is based off of what is called the gross income.  We don't live off of gross income amounts, we live and survive off of net income.  For decades, this has been an issue and has never changed.

It is time for this to change. The prices of gas, utilities, food, insurances, etc has increased over the years and it is harder and harder to afford the necessities for our families. 

The Kansas Governor Laura Kelly has the power to change this and right now I'm petitioning our fellow Americans to get this changed.
