Say No To Single-use Straws

We, as humans, have known about the impact of single-use plastics on our health and the planet’s well-being notably the destruction of wildlife habitats, the pollution of the ocean, and the build-up of litter in and around our local communities. Paper straws are emerging as a contender, especially with many countries set to impose an outright ban on plastic straws.
But our group can’t ignore the fact that it also can harm marine life if they are littered into the ocean, much like plastic straws. On top of that, these straws are still single-use, disposable consumer items. Additionally, one of the biggest hurdles concerning paper straws is durability.
We are aiming for a zero-waste alternative by means of having personal straws for every person or even no straws at all. We are hoping that by implementing this, waste will be reduced, and people will be much more responsible. This also incentivizes disregarding the use of straws altogether which is by far the most sustainable solution for the environment. Since people will be required to have a personal straw with them, fewer people will want to use straws and if they do use straws, they are using ones that are hopefully not a one-time use item.
Now is the time to put it to action, so sign now!
