Msg or Monosodium Glutamate is found in lots of cheddar flavored foods or even chinese food. The main source is a seaweed called dashi. Doritos, cheetos and sushi all contain this powerful ingredient. Healthy options are Homemade popped popcorn with cheese powder or tortilla chips!

       Ask anyone if MSG is dangerous, and you’ll get a variety of responses. some maybe including "what" . Some of the more scientifically-minded among us will mess with the notion that MSG is dangerous or poses death. Sure, they’ll allow, there are a few sensitive people who get headaches or migraines when they eat it, but MSG doesn’t actually harm the rest of us. (TBH i get sick)

And, if you are like me, what scientific research do you use to convince the doubters. (trust me, ive been telling people this for years and no one NO-ONE BELEIVES ME) The good news is the science proving MSG is dangerous is out there, and I’ve collected a lot of here for you.

There are a growing number of people who report immediate, adverse reactions within minutes eating MSG. (ME) Perhaps you’re one of those people? Or, maybe you know someone who is sensitive?

Typical MSG complaints include:

burning sensations of the mouth, head and neck, 
weakness of the arms or legs,
headaches, 
upset stomach, 
hives or other allergic-type reactions with the skin.

and the occasional respiratory problems....sigh.

Some common foods are:

2 minute noodles, such as instant ramen
Rice crackers and rice cakes
Chips, popcorn or corn chips, including those that have ‘no artificial colours or flavours’ or ‘no added MSG’
Soy sauce, including Tamari and other low salt/gluten free alternatives
Pasta sauces, chutneys,  stock cubes and spice combinations
Deli meats, nitrates, sushi, sausages and marinated meats/roasts
Frozen foods, like fish fingers, oven fries and garlic bread
Bakery products, like pies, sausage rolls and savoury scrolls
Many takeaway foods =, MCDONALDS, especially of the big burger and chicken varieties.

I have put on a fight about this before at my old school, Greenwood Elementary. They agreed! This ingredient can also cause you to be sluggish and tired. Who wants to be sluggish, tired, achy and have to do an EXAM! (not me )
