Kratom has given me some semblance of a normal life. I completely quit drinking alcohol within 2 weeks of taking Kratom and I was a heavy daily drinker. I’ve been alcohol free for 5 months now when before Kratom I couldn’t go 24 hours without drinking.
Please understand how this natural substance really works before claiming that it should be classified as an “opiate”. That’s irresponsible to say that.
And those who say you get “ high” off of it are plain wrong. There is zero impairment caused by Kratom. I can liken the feeling to being a child on Christmas morning waking up and seeing the presents under the tree. Just happy. No body or head buzz.
If Kratom becomes illegal mark my words.... you’ll have a larger drug and alcohol problem on your hands.

krater has provided me with a safe alternative to addictive , dangerous prescription medicines for my chronic pain. We all know that banning kratom has nothing to do with public safety and everything due to dollars not being spent on suboxone , methadone and other truly addictive MONEY Making prescriptions. For once , lawmakers do the right thing.

Because it flat out saved my life. I would probably be dead today like several of my friends if I didn't find kratom.

Kratom is clearing up the herion epidemic nationwide and has saved several people I know personally from hard drugs. It's a supplement that people take just like any other natural supplement to improve their daily lives. The banning of plants should be illegal, but instead we are plant banning.
In primitive nature, people lived off the land. If big pharma drugs are going to continue to be harmful and habit forming, what's wrong with going the natural route?
The largest issue here is pushing people into a corner and supplying them with a bunch of harmful pharmaceutical drugs which normally come with a laundry list of side effects that are often more harmful than the ailments in which you are taking them for in the first place.
If the research hasn't been completed on whether Kratom is harmful or not, maybe we could try to figure that out before banning it entirely?
Hmmm...

The authorities have no right to restrict a harmless and beneficial plant. Every single "kratom-related death" had other substances involved. I would even say the FDA and DEA have no interest in protecting the public by banning a dangerous substance. Their interest in kratom is because it takes money away from their legal prescription drugs (which are actually dangerous) and their drug seizure efforts. Instead of focusing on regulating nature, they should focus on giving individuals the power to determine what is best for their own lives and make their own health decisions. It is not any government agency's place to ban kratom.
