End the blood donation ban against men who have sex with men
If a man goes to his local blood drive, he is usually required to answer a few questions. One of the questions that he's usually asked is something along the lines of: "Have you ever had sex with another man?" What you may not know is that if he answers Yes to that question, he is automatically disqualified from donating blood. This policy, enacted by the Food & Drug Administration in the early 1980's to stop the spread of HIV to the blood supply, is extremely archaic and needs to be ended. Please help me tell the FDA to end this policy and allow men who have sex with men to be life savers like everyone else. Thank you very much.
