1 in 13 children are now living with food allergies. Between 1997-2011 there was a 50% increase in children born with this disease. There is no cure for food allergies and for some they will never outgrow them. 

I am a mother of five children and our youngest daughter (almost 2) has life threatening reactions to one of her allergens.  Just five months ago, due to cross contamination my daughter went into anaphylaxis and landed us a stay at our Childrens hospital. 

Simply by adding aluminum signs to our public playgrounds as a reminder to not eat or drink on playground equipment and washing hands when done with snack can save lives .
